Preface — What This Site Is Here to Do

At Third Scope, we believe there is knowledge that has not yet taken shape, value that has not yet been delivered, and markets that have not yet been fully set in motion. Intelligence, to us, is not limited to data and systems — it also lives in human experience, organizational judgment, customer emotion, and the work accumulated over time, intelligence with the power to move the future once it is uncovered. Our mission is to find, refine, and transform that intelligence into something that reaches people, through the power of technology and design — this is our vision: to design intelligence and open up the possibilities of the market.

Guided by this mission and vision, we work to put AI within reach of every business, as a matter of course. By entrusting routine judgment and repetitive processing to technology, people are freed to focus on what only people can do — judgment, creativity, and dialogue. We design and implement the systems and experiences that make this possible, combining technology and design, to deliver value to businesses and their customers alike.

This website exists to show businesses, prospective colleagues, and anyone interested in our work how we design intelligence and help companies put AI to work so their people can focus on what only people can do. We bridge gaps with words, and move forward by questioning, exploring, and acting, driven by a genuine desire to know.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") set out the terms on which Third Scope Ltd. (Japan), Third Scope Asia PTE. LTD. (Singapore), and Third Scope Europe Ltd. (United Kingdom) (individually or collectively, "we", "us", "our", or the "Company") make available the websites at third-scope.com, sg.third-scope.com, and eu.third-scope.com, and their related pages (collectively, the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you ("User") are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

Part 1: Common Provisions

Article 1 (Application)

  1. These Terms apply to your browsing of the Site, your use of our contact, recruitment, materials-request, and newsletter subscription forms (collectively, the "Forms"), and any other services we provide through the Site (collectively, the "Service").
  2. Any policies we post separately on the Site (including our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Information Security Policy, and any service-specific terms) form part of these Terms. In the event of any conflict, such specific policy shall prevail over these Terms.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. "Site Operator" means the entity operating the relevant domain of the Site, as set out below.

  2. "User" means any person who browses or uses the Site.

Article 3 (Prohibited Conduct)

When using the Site, you must not:

  1. violate any applicable law or public order and morals;
  2. infringe our or any third party's intellectual property rights, portrait rights, privacy rights, or other rights;
  3. disrupt or interfere with the servers or networks used to operate the Site (including unauthorized access or imposing an excessive load);
  4. submit false information through the Forms, or use the Forms for purposes other than their intended purpose (such as unsolicited sales or solicitation);
  5. reproduce, repurpose, modify, or otherwise reuse the Site's content beyond the scope of private use without our prior written or email consent; or
  6. engage in conduct that causes disadvantage or damage to us or third parties, or any other conduct we deem inappropriate.

Article 4 (Intellectual Property)

All copyrights, trademark rights, and other intellectual property rights in the text, images, logos, design, programs, and all other content on the Site belong to us or to third parties who have duly authorized their use. You may not use such content beyond the scope of private use without our prior written or email consent.

Article 5 (Use of the Forms)

  1. When using the contact, recruitment, materials-request, newsletter subscription, or other forms, you must provide accurate information.
  2. Personal data collected through the Forms is handled in accordance with our separate Privacy Policy.
  3. We may decline or discontinue responding to a form submission, sending materials, proceeding with a recruitment process, or otherwise where we determine there is a reasonable basis to do so.

Article 6 (Changes, Suspension, and Termination of the Site)

We may change, add to, or remove all or part of the content of the Site, or temporarily suspend or terminate the Site, without prior notice to Users. We are not liable for any resulting damage, except where caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 7 (Disclaimer)

  1. We do not guarantee, expressly or impliedly, the accuracy, completeness, usefulness, or currency of the information published on the Site.
  2. We are not liable for any damage arising from your use of the Site, except where caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence.
  3. Where the Site contains links to websites operated by third parties, we are not responsible for the content of such linked websites.

Article 8 (Changes to These Terms)

We may amend these Terms without prior notice to Users where we consider it necessary. Amended Terms take effect from the time they are posted on the Site, and any User who uses the Site thereafter is deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.

Article 9 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

  1. These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
  2. Any dispute arising between us and a User in connection with these Terms or the use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.

third-scope.com is operated by Third Scope Ltd. (established 1 February 2018; represented by Tatsuya Ito). Inquiries, materials requests, and recruitment applications submitted through this Site are provided as part of our business in Japan, governed by Japanese law.

Annex B: Singapore (Third Scope Asia PTE. LTD.)

sg.third-scope.com is operated by Third Scope Asia PTE. LTD. (registered address: One&Co, 20 Anson Road, #11-01 Twenty Anson, Singapore 079912; Manager: Tatsuya Ito). While governing law and jurisdiction are as set out in Article 9 (Japanese law / Tokyo District Court), nothing in these Terms limits any right that is mandatorily conferred on you under Singapore law.

Annex C: United Kingdom (Third Scope Europe Ltd.)

eu.third-scope.com is operated by Third Scope Europe Ltd. (registered address: Suite 1 Chantal House, 13-17 High Beech Road, Loughton, IG10 4BN, United Kingdom; established 6 February 2023; Manager: Motomi Sakai). While governing law and jurisdiction are as set out in Article 9 (Japanese law / Tokyo District Court), nothing in these Terms limits any right that is mandatorily conferred on you as a consumer under the law of the United Kingdom or the EU/EEA.
